Nutrition for kids
Helping kids make nutritious choices
Why does it feel like feeding our kids gets so complicated once they start eating solid foods? As parents and caregivers, we agonize over whether they’re getting enough vitamins and nutrients while we try to protect them from over indulging on desserts and sweets.
Even when we know we want to feed our family healthy meals, it can be difficult to find time to put together a meal (and clean it up). The food industry offers so many shortcuts that are often packaged with preservatives and other ingredients that stray far from the natural foods our kids’ growing bodies need.
When kids don’t get enough nutrition, or over indulge in packaged foods, they can exhibit:
- Problems with focus & concentration
- Erratic mood, behavior and increased anxiety
- Impaired growth and development
- Picky eating
- Digestive problems
- Food allergies
- Skin conditions, such as eczema and acne
Change begins with learning
When kids learn how what they eat and drink affects their bodies, they can begin to make better choices about their meals. Nutritious habits mature when choices are presented in a palatable and approachable way.

Our Nutrition Service for Kids incorporates learning in a way kids can understand and provides tips that parents and caregivers can use

Personal Interaction
We meet directly with your child at his/her level from the first meeting. Meeting schedules and written materials are geared to support your child as well as parents and caregivers.

Interactive Learning
We interact in a way that helps your child learn about the effects of sugar and harmful chemicals on mood, concentration and energy, and we put together changes you can all support.

Mealtime Habits
We help your family establish healthy mealtime habits that allow your child to be an active participant, and provide recommendations designed to complement your lifestyle.

Digestive Support
We focus on optimal digestion so that nutrients from food support your child’s development. The health of the digestive tract is also an important connection for skin conditions.

Food Allergy Testing
We offer specialized testing for food allergies and intolerances. These tests are often helpful in place of lengthy food elimination programs that are difficult for children and parents to manage.

Meals and Recipes
We like to encourage kids to try new things, and have recipes and suggestions for meals that are tried and tested by the pickiest of eaters.
